Shame on you brookstone, why don’t you update to new IOS .
I have the Rover (1e?) the first one... it quit working a few years ago. Found it under the couch. Will no longer work, no updates on apps, no help from Brookstone, it's a cool looking piece of crap now. I have several older robots (my grandkids an I love robots) and they all WORK Brookstone!
I purchased Rover 2.0 a year ago and it used to work perfectly fine until we upgraded our iOS devices to the latest version (iOS 10). Now we have to use our old iPhone 3GS to control this device.
Update: I called Brookstone tech support and they said that the problem is outdated firmware on the rover device and there is no way to upgrade it at home. All new devices being sold currently have upgraded firmware with the newest drivers and there are no such problems with them. After long discussion they suggested me to buy a new device because my warranty has expired, so thank you Brookstone I would never come up with such idea by myself!
